Winner of the 4th edition
Business ideas competition in Air Traffic Management.
Winner : Phase 2
Aero-Trail Guard – Adrián López
Combines geostationary satellite imagery with convolutional neural networks to detect and segment aircraft contrails in real time. It aims to improve detection accuracy and reduce false positives under complex atmospheric conditions, helping to mitigate aviation’s impact on the climate. PoC currently underway with mentors from ENAIRE.

Finalists
Phase 1 - Business ideas competition in Air Traffic Management
First Prize
AVAM – Javier Pérez Castán
It is a tool designed to improve real-time access to and management of aeronautical information, particularly AIPs and official documentation. It uses an intuitive voice- or text-based search system to reduce consultation times, enhance operational safety, and facilitate regulatory compliance for air traffic controllers and dispatchers.
Second Prize
Aero-Trail Guard – Adrián López Grande
Combines geostationary satellite imagery with convolutional neural networks to detect and segment aircraft contrails in real time. It aims to improve detection accuracy and reduce false positives under complex atmospheric conditions, helping to mitigate aviation’s impact on the climate. PoC currently underway with mentors from ENAIRE.
Third Prize
AeroInfra Smart – Artemio García Rivero
Digital platform for the intelligent management of aeronautical safeguarding requirements for infrastructure, automating and streamlining impact and compatibility assessments related to air navigation. It replaces a traditionally manual and time-consuming process, enabling rapid evaluation of whether new infrastructure complies with airspace restrictions.
Fourth Prize
AEQUILIBRIUM – Erik Cedro Zamolojko
Dynamic aircraft separation harmonization system for high-density mixed operations, designed for airports such as Madrid-Barajas. Using algorithmic intelligence, it aims to unlock latent runway capacity by reconciling wake turbulence constraints with a continuous flow of commercial traffic.
Fifth Prize
ATC Decision Memory Engine – Luna Hurtado Nogueras
Predictive decision-support system for air traffic controllers that records and analyzes real-world decisions, correlating them with traffic, weather conditions, and time of day. It generates non-binding recommendations, acting as a digital copilot that supports controllers without replacing their judgment.
